This course prepares the student for an occupation in the carpentry trade. Topics include the study of safety procedures, tool identification and the use and selection of tools. Techniques include wall framing, building partitions, roofs, doors and windows. Included will be the understanding of basic materials and construction practices to layout and construct foundations and flooring systems. Instruction includes lecture and live projects.
